Dr. Deron Cobb

Senior Pastor
E-mail Dr. Deron Cobb

After years of ministry in Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee, Pastor Deron’s journey has brought him home to central Kentucky, where his family roots run deep. His grandparents grew up on opposite sides of the Kentucky River; his grandmother on the Madison County side and his grandfather in Jessamine County. He received his Master of Divinity from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctorate from Covington Theological Seminary. His wife, Bonita is an Educational Therapist and a pastor’s daughter. They have a daughter, Joanna, and two sons, Joshua and Joseph. Pastor Deron enjoys reading, sports, and spending time with his family.

“My passion is preaching and teaching God’s Word. My purpose in life is to radically love God, evangelize the lost, and equip the saved through the power of the gospel. The gospel brings joy, fulfillment, and purpose to every life it changes. I am so grateful and humbled that a Holy and Righteous God was willing to forgive, call, and now entrust to me the stewardship of one of His beloved churches here in Richmond, Kentucky. I truly feel like I have come home and I am excited about what God has in store, not only for me and my family, but for the whole Red House Baptist Church family.”

Linda Coulter

Director of Childhood Ministries
E-mail Linda Coulter

Linda grew up in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, graduating from Anderson County High School. She received her BS and MA in Communication Disorders from Eastern Kentucky University. She works as a speech/language pathologist for a local agency, serving children birth to three years of age. Linda was called to Red House as the part-time Minister to Preschoolers and Children in May of 1984. She serves on the Tates Creek Associational Consultation Team (ACT) and is a state special worker for the Kentucky Baptist Convention, leading conferences in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and Discipleship Training.

“I grew up in a Christian home, accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord at the age of 9. It was during GA camp that I began to realize that God had a special plan for my life. Through a variety of people and experiences, God began to prepare me for work with children. When His call came to serve at Red House, I was finishing college and preparing to marry. Eddie and I were praying for guidance to a church home. While serving at Red House, God has used this time to teach, train, and grow me in ways I never anticipated.”

One of my goals for the children at Red House is that each of them will understand that God has a special plan for them, just as He did for me. That plan begins with their decision to follow Christ and continues throughout their lives. Jeremiah 29:11 is one of my favorite verses: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Dwayne Abrahamson

Minister of Students / Recreation
E-mail Dwayne Abrahamson

Dwayne was born and raised in Mobile, AL. He went to college at the University of South Alabama and received a degree in chemical engineering. While in college, he was very involved with Baptist Campus Ministry. After graduating from college, he went to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX, where he received his Master of Divinity in December of 2000. While in seminary, he met his wife, Joni, and they have been married since November of 2000. They have two boys, Aaron and Luke.

Dwayne has a passion for youth and college students. His desire is for them to know Christ, receive Christ, live for Christ, and share the love of Christ. He wants them to follow the cross and not the crowd. He wants them to truly understand the words of Jesus in Matt 16:24, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.” Dwayne is excited what God is going to do in and through the student ministry of Red House.

Shamma Lorredan

Minister of Music

Shamma is a native of Haiti, an island nearly in the state’s size of Maryland. Haiti lies in the Caribbean Sea. He grew up as a Pastor’s son and got saved at the age of 13.

One of the significant events in Shamma’s life occurred in January 2010 when Haiti hits by a deadly earthquake that killed over 300,000 of the population. Shamma was injured, broken, and nearly dead, but God had compassion and had favor on him. Through it all, he grew to have a passion and love for the local church.

Through the years, God had placed great mentors in Shamma’s life and called him into ministry in December 2013 while leading a Christmas Community event in Haiti. Shamma had the conviction he would be in the ministry field, as many people assessed that his heart is for humanity and evangelism. For the next couple of months, Shamma kept praying for God’s guidance. Then, he moved to the United States of America in September 2014. It was all the result of prayers and faith. He prayed that God would open the doors and guide him on the right path for his education. In Fall 2015, he started to study for his Bachelor of Arts in Ministry at Clear Creek Baptist Bible College in Pineville, Kentucky.
This journey has been an incredible time studying at Clear Creek, where many adventures happened, many ministry challenges, made lots of friends, and also got married to his beautiful bride, Tabitha. She is an incredible wife, loves the Lord, her husband, and loves people. The couple believes that God has great plans for their future and has led them to be servants at Red House Baptist Church.

“As a music minister, I value passion over polish but is driven towards excellence and have a contagious heart for worship. I have a platform presence that and creatively engages my audiences with the clear message of Jesus–the only means of salvation.” Shamma says.
He mentions that one thing he knows for sure is that God needs no one’s help, but desires their obedience and complete surrender to His unique call and has promises for their lives (Romans 8:28).

To God be the glory
